Premium basmati rice brand Amira, in a delightful cook-off with celebrity Chef Ripu Daman Handa at Mumbai exhibition on Sept 23rd gave us an opportunity to experience his live cooking skills and capture it on our blog.
As a part of Amira’s continuous endeavour to establish a food connect with people, Amira had yet again participated in the biggest international exhibition & conference of the food industry, ‘Annapoorna – World of Food India Mumbai’ which was held at the Bombay Exhibition centre from the 22nd to 24th September 2016. At the event, Amira created a huge setup and offered different activities to enjoy. On the second day of the exhibition i.e., 23rd of September 2016, Chef Ripu Daman Handa held a cooking session where they discovered the flavors and tastes of different rice types of rice. Chef Ripu created a simple yet delicacies like- Rice with Brinjal twist for the audience, Veg Biryani, Peas pulao & one of the signature dish of Amira ‘The Canapes Indiano’.
During our interaction with Chef Ripu, he shared certain healthy eating tips with us. He talked about how brown rice is a healthy food option which can be incorporated in one’s daily diet. Brown rice being full of fibre has been suggested by the Chef for all health freaks. He has also recommended us that amongst fruits one should always go for apple and kiwi.
