After hearing a lot about Farzi Cafe from my friends and family, i decided to visit it on a Friday evening. Since we visited the restaurant at the time of Diwali, it was all lit up with LED lights and diyas. Right from the staircase to the reception area, Farzi was all beautifully decorated.
We ordered starters, main course followed by desserts. The food was beautifully presented including the starters which was yoghurt and strawberry welcoming shots.
All the starters definitely receive a thums up on the presentation for sure. In starters, we ordered prawns, fried fish wings, chilly duck samosa with plum chutney, chicken changezi quesdilla. Chicken changezi turned out to be my favourite since it had a spicy and chicken bhuna taste. On the other hand, prawns turned out to be too sweet and i dint like it much.
Just before we could proceed with our main course, we were served small sticks which are called- pallette cleanser . It was made of yogurt and guava which gave a taste of a flavoured kulfi. Again, the way it was brought to us on the table was definitely unique.
For main course i had ordered fish my favourite- Macher Jhol. It was beautifully presented with a separate Aladdin shaped bowl for pouring the gravy. It was high on mustard in taste with rice topped with crispy jhal moori. The combination of all this tasted really nice 🙂
The service was really prompt with humble serving staff all over. The music was bit loud.
For all the foodies in Pune, Farzi Cafe is a must place to visit! A Big ThumsUp from Tummy Cravings 🙂
